Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026โ€ขLast Revised: October 5, 2026
โš ๏ธPhotosensitivity & Flashing Screen Warning

Certain display diagnostics, including our Stuck Pixel Fixer and high-frequency color cycling tools, produce rapid flashing primary colors. A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain visual patterns. If you have an epileptic condition or history of seizures, consult a physician before using screen-cycling tools, and discontinue use immediately if you experience dizziness, altered vision, or eye twitching.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TestYourGadget.com ("Test Your Gadget", "we", "our", or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the website and tools immediately.

2.Permitted Use of Diagnostic Tools

Test Your Gadget provides free, in-browser hardware testing tools for computers, laptops, smartphones, controllers, and peripherals. You are permitted to use our services for:

  • Personal diagnostic testing of your own devices and peripherals.
  • Pre-meeting or pre-interview testing of microphones, speakers, and webcams.
  • Commercial or professional inspection by IT administrators, repair technicians, and refurbished electronics resellers.
  • Generating and printing Hardware Inspection Certificates for certified device evaluation.

3.Diagnostic Disclaimers & No Warranty

All tests, benchmarks, metrics, and health scores are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

Our diagnostic workbenches evaluate hardware performance through standardized Web APIs exposed by your operating system and web browser (such as WebRTC, Web Audio, and Web Gamepad API). While highly accurate for functional operational checks, browser tests:

  • Cannot guarantee detection of intermittent hardware faults, internal electrical shorts, or microscopic component damage.
  • Do not replace physical manufacturer bench diagnostics or authorized hardware repairs.
  • Cannot guarantee physical recovery of dead pixels (a stuck subpixel may be unfrozen via color cycling, but a broken physical transistor cannot be repaired via software).

4.Acoustic Audio Volume Warning

Audio tools, tone generators, and speaker channel tests produce acoustic soundwaves from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Always set your system volume to a conservative level (below 40%) before launching frequency sweeps or channel polarity tests to avoid hearing fatigue, auditory damage, or overdriving delicate speaker voice coils.

5.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Test Your Gadget, its developers, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Pre-existing device damage, screen burn-in, or hardware failures occurring while using our website.
  • Decisions made in reliance upon our Hardware Inspection Certificates during secondary device sales.
  • Disruption of meetings, conferences, or examinations due to peripheral disconnection or browser incompatibilities.

6.Intellectual Property

The Test Your Gadget name, logo, custom UI design system, interactive workbenches, and documentation are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not iframe, mirror, duplicate, or scrape our testing engines for commercial resale without prior written authorization.
