Gamepad, Controller & Stick Drift Calibrator
Connect any Bluetooth or USB controller to diagnose analog stick drift, deadzone inaccuracies, trigger potentiometer sensitivity, and rumble motor vibration.
Gamepad & Stick Drift Diagnostic Suite
Plug in any Xbox, PlayStation (DualSense/PS4), Nintendo Switch, or PC controller. Test resting stick drift, customize deadzones, inspect analog trigger pressure, verify 16 buttons, and fire dual-rumble haptics.
Adjust the deadzone circle to simulate in-game deadzones (Call of Duty, Apex, Fortnite, Rocket League). Resting sticks should remain completely inside the dashed ring.
* Note: Haptic vibration via browser Gamepad API requires Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave) and controllers that expose standard dual-rumble actuators (Xbox Series/One, DualSense via USB, Switch Pro).
๐น๏ธ What Causes Controller Stick Drift?
Most modern gamepads (Xbox, PlayStation DualSense, Switch Joy-Cons) utilize mechanical potentiometer sensors with carbon resistive tracks.
Over time, friction wears down the carbon track and microscopic dust accumulates, causing the joystick to report false movement (drift) even when completely untouched.
๐ฎ How to Connect Your Gamepad
- USB Cable: Plug your controller directly into your computer or laptop via USB-C or USB-A.
- Bluetooth: Hold the pairing button on your controller, open your system Bluetooth settings, and pair.
- Wake Up Signal: Press any button on the controller once connected so the browser's Gamepad API activates the connection.
